Playwright es una librería Open Source para automatizar pruebas *end-to-end* (E2E) y validar aplicaciones web que ha reemplazado Nightwatch en el core de Drupal para la realización de tests con JavaScript. Es una herramienta muy versátil que también puede utilizarse para scripts que manejen un navegador así como tareas con IA.

Playwright ofrece aserciones, espera automática de elementos en el DOM, reintentos, una buena API para localizar elementos en la página, ejecución en paralelo y un diseño moderno. Permite controlar los navegadores maś conocidos (motores de Chromium, Firefox y Webkit), provee un CLI para ser manejado desde un LLM y un servidor MCP para agentes de IA.

La charla pretende ser una toma de contacto con Playwright y sus funcionalidades, su uso dentro de Drupal y otras funciones que se pueden realizar con él.
